LOCKDOWN UPDATE 7.1.21

We have taken great thought into the position of which we find ourselves in and at the moment have decided to stay closed until further notice.
We have great respect for the NHS,we also have to consider our customers and also our own staff, we feel that until such time there is more clarification from our own Local Council & Government Ruling we will remain closed.
Please be patient, stay safe, and fishing will soon be back.

COVID UPDATE 4.1.21

After the Government announcement today at 8pm, we have decided to close as from 6PM on Tuesday 5th January 2021, both the Main Lake and the Paddock Lake until such time clarification is given to ensure the safety of all our customers and staff.

Any pre-paid bookings will be transferred to another date of your choice

31st December 2020 update

We are open and are staying in tier 3 please abide by the COVID rules set out by the Government guidelines. please make sure you read our rules below, to stay safe keep 2 meters distance,  bring  your own loo rolls and hand sanitizer even though hand washing facilities are in place.

MATCHES WILL RESUME AS NORMAL FROM MIDNIGHT ON THE 2.12.20

MAIN LAKE

THE MAIN LAKE FISHING WILL NOT CHANGE AND WILL CONTINUE, OUR RISK ASSESSMENT TOGETHER WITH THE COVID ADVICE AND FISHING RULES MUST BE ADHERED TO FOR EVERYBODY'S SAFETY AND OUR OWN.

Due to the volume of enquiries with regard to the second lockdown, we will update accordingly when laws have been passed in Parliment, at present the following applies.

With regard to Matches they are suspended until the 2nd December

Pleasure fishing will continue on the Paddock Lake on a day ticket pleasure only basis.  Please book in just ring the office 01934 834050 prior to arriving and report to the Office window where your details will be taken

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR OWN LOO ROLL, HAND SANITIZER/WIPES/FACE COVERINGS.

Main Lake - fishing is allowed as normal but if you are not from the same household you must have separate swims, you must keep to your own peg, keep to the social distancing rules, if this is not adhered to you will be asked to leave with no refund. All personal rubbish must be taken home, therefore please bring your own bin bags. You must report to the office upon arrival before starting fishing.

AT THE MOMENT WE ARE STILL OPEN, WE ARE AWAITING FURHTER DETAILS FROM THE GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES OF WHICH WE SHOULD KNOW BY THURSDAY 5TH NOVEMBER THE FINER DETAILS. UPDATES WILL BE PUT UP AS SOON AS WE KNOW.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU ABIDE BY THE GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES WITH REGARD TO SOCIAL DISTANCES, PLEASE WEAR FACE MASKS WHEN WALKING AROUND PREMISES UNTIL YOU ARE AT YOUR DESIGNATED PEG.

WE ARE STILL OPEN AS USUAL BUT WE ARE ADVISING THAT ALL ANGLERS KEEP TO THE 2 METER RULE FOR SOCIAL DISTANCING.

ALSO WE ARE ASKING THAT ANYBODY WHO IS IN A LOCAL LOCK DOWN AREA NOT TO VISIT THE FISHERY UNTIL YOUR RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED BY THE GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES.

IF YOU HAVE PRE-BOOKED AND PAID FOR SWIMS AND NOW CANNOT MAKE YOUR FISHING TRIP, YOU CAN RING THE OFFICE ON 01934 834050, YOUR MONEY CANNNOT BE REFUNDED BUT WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER DATE OF YOUR CHOICE. SO JUST PLEASE RING THE FISHERY

SEPTEMBER 2020 ONWARDS UPDATE

WEEKEND BOOKINGS CAN BE TAKEN BUT FOR A MINIMUM OF 24HRS OR LONGER.

ACORN FISHERY RISK ASSESSMENT FOR COVID19 PROCEEDURE
1. KEEP A SOCIAL DISTANCE AT ALL TIMES OF 2 METERS
2. STAY ON YOUR ALLOCATED SWIM
3. ANY CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT, THEY MUST STAY IN THE SAME  ALLOCATED SWIM AT ALL TIMES
4. CAN PAY BY CARD OR CASH AT OFFICE PRIOR TO FISHING
5. FACE MASKS/COVERINGS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES UNTIL YOU REACH YOUR DESIGNATED PEG FOR THE MAIN LAKE AND THE PADDOCK LAKE
6. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR OWN LOO ROLLS, HAND SANITZER'S EVEN THOUGH HAND SANITIZER'S ARE PROVIDED.

WEIGHING IN FOR MATCHES:-

ALL FISHERMAN IN A COMPETITION MUST LINE UP AT A 2 METER SOCIAL DISTANCING.

(A) ONE PERSON ALLOCATED BY CLUB TO DO THE DRAW & TAKE POOLS

(B) ONCE PAID THAT SAME PERSON WILL DRAW A PEG NUMBER & FISHERMAN THEN CAN PROCEED TO PEG

(C) WHEN WEIGHING IN, THE FISHERMAN WILL TAKE HIS OWN NET OUT AND POUR FISH INTO ALLOCATED BUCKET IN A DESIGNATED AREA, THEN RETURN TO HIS PEG.

(D) THE PERSON ON THE SCALES/POD WILL PICK BUCKET UP & WEIGH FISH IN THE DESIGNATED AREA ONLY WHEN FISHERMAN HAS RETURNED TO HIS PEG, WHO WILL THEN SHOUT OUT RESULTS TO THE ALLOCATED "RESULTS MAN" WHO HAS TO KEEP A SOCIAL DISTANCE OF 2 METERS AWAY.

(E) BOTH THE "WEIGHING IN" & THE "RESULTS MAN" HAVE TO KEEP A 2 METER DISTANCE AT ALL TIMES AND AT NO TIME MUST THE "WEIGHING IN" PERSON HANDLE ANY NETS - ONLY BUCKETS.

(F)ONCE THE FISHERMAN HAS BEEN WEIGHED IN HE MUST STAY AT HIS SWIM

(G) WHEN RESULTS HAVE BEEN FINALIZED THE ORGANIZER WILL NOTIFY FISHERMAN OF THEIR RESULTS, WHO INTURN WILL COLLECT PRIZE IN AN ENVELOPE FROM THE MATCH ORGANIZER.

(H) THE "WEIGHING IN" & "RESULTS MAN" MUST WEAR APPROPIATE PPE i.e. GLOVES,EYE PROTECTION,MASK WHEN CARRYING OUT THE WEIGH IN.

ONLY MATCH ORGANIZERS TO BE IN THE CABIN FOR THE DRAW AND PAYOUT(NO MORE THAN TWO PEOPLE)

BEFORE LEAVING CABIN, MUST BE WIPED DOWN AND CLEANED.


11th May 2020 Update

THE MAIN LAKE WILL BE OPEN FROM FRIDAY 15TH MAY 2020 FOR PRE-BOOKED SWIMS ONLY. 
 DAY TICKETS ONLY ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE 13TH MAY.

PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO ANYBODY WHO HAS HAD THEIR SESSION SUSPENDED DUE TO THE LOCKDOWN. 

  N0 BOOKINGS WILL BE TAKEN UNTIL THURSDAY MORNING FROM 9AM FOR THE WEEKEND ONWARDS

PLEASE ENSURE YOU BRING WITH YOU UPON ARRIVAL YOUR PPE, HAND SANITIZER,HAND WIPES, DISINFECTANT & LOO ROLLS FOR EITHER OF THE LAKES - NO ITEMS - NO FISHING

THE PADDOCK LAKE - WILL BE OPEN ON WEDNESDAY 13TH MAY 2020 - FROM 8AM UNTIL 6PM ONLY -

We are waiting for the Governments update tonight on the 10th May 2020 as to when we can re-open.

FISHING BOOKINGS - NEW RULES

THESE MEASURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN FOR YOUR PROTECTION  AS WELL AS FOR OTHERS

WHEN WE OPEN BOOKINGS WILL BE AS NORMAL EXCEPT  FOR THE HUT SWIMS  WILL BE FOR A MINIMUM OF 48 HOUR SESSIONS OR LONGER FOR THE MAIN LAKE ONLY  (This allows a rest period between sessions)

THESE SESSIONS CAN RUN FROM A FRIDAY EVENING 6PM UNTIL SUNDAY EVENING 6PM or

TUESDAY MORNING 7AM UNTIL THURSDAY 7AM

LONGER SESSIONS CAN ONLY RUN FROM FRIDAY THROUGH TO THE THURSDAY


THESE SESSIONS WILL ALLOW HUT SWIMS TO BE CLEANED ETC AND FOR A REST PERIOD.

IF HUT SWIMS ARE AVAILABLE BUT ARE BEING CLEANED OR RESTING, THE PEG WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE TO FISH BUT THE ACTUAL HUT CANNOT BE USED.

PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO ANY PRE-BOOKED SWIMS WHICH HAVE HAD TO BE SUSPENDED DUE TO THE COVID19 LOCKDOWN

We will be closed for a further 3 weeks as per government instructions, this will take us up to the 7th may 2020.
 A further update will be done after this date as soon as we know any further information

23RD MARCH 2020 21:42HRS

After the Government announcement tonight we have to close our gates to all our customers with immediate effect including the tackle
shop.

PLEASE keep looking on this page for any further updates as to when we can RE-OPEN.

Any pre-paid and booked swims in the closed period can be transferred to another date when we re-open, all you have to do is ring us.

Please all stay safe and look forward to seeing you all back soon.

23RD MARCH 2020

From today we are not taking any new bookings.

Existing bookings are ok at the moment but if we have to lock down and you cannot get to the fishery we will transfer your paid bookings to another date when everything is back to normal, If you let us know we can put your booking onto our transfer list. If you are unsure please ring the office.
If you are at the Lake when lock down is decided, the gates will be shut and you can stay for your duration.
STAY SAFE

20TH MARCH 2020 19:00hrs

We are remaining  open to bookings on the Main Carp Lake so long as all Anglers follow theses guidelines/rules below:
 Please implement with immediate effect as follows:
1. On the Main Lake - Please proceed direct to your booked peg upon arrival at your designated time
2. Bring your own hand sanitizer and toilet rolls due to great demand and being stolen.
3. You remain in your peg and do not enter other peoples swims.
4. Should you need help or assistance you Telephone Adrian or Bev on 07957 828721 which will be available 24/7
5. Should the present position change  if we may  to close the fishery you will be informed - hopefully not.
6. Should you have visitors please keep to a minimum and for them to abide by the rules and guidelines aswell.

COVID19 - We would like to advise all of our customers which have pre-booked and paid for fishing swims will be offered to transfer their bookings to another date if the Goverment decides we have to close the fishery, no refunds will be given only transferable dates.
If you prefer not to pre-book in advance you can ring us to see what is available nearer your anticipated trip.

ANYBODY WHO COMES TO THE OFFICE WILL BE SERVED THROUGH THE OFFICE WINDOW TO REDUCE CONTACT.
